Q&A with Jasmine Dill Posted On: Friday, Nov. 6 2009 05:15 AM Bookmark and Share
Ht: 5-6 Pos: Guard Class: Senior

Q: What happened last year?

A: We did well, it was just, we didn't have the right combination or teamwork. We had some teamwork, it was just some flaws every now and then, but everything worked out well. This year, we're trying to start a new tradition, try to keep our heart, stuff like that. I think we'll do well.

Q: What do you have to do this year to have success?

A: We've just got to step it up, keep our other teammates into it (and) show the new ones coming up how everything's supposed to work out. Pretty much, just not give up on each other.

Q: How did the team adjust last year without Danika Dale (Liberty University)?

A: You try to look up to her as like role model, which that's what I did. We struggled, yes, but we got through it, so I think we can get through it again this year and just keep working at it and I think we'll be fine.

Q: What have you learned since being a sophomore on varsity?

A: When push comes to shove, you just got to work through it. No matter if you lose or win, you've got to shake it off and be ready for the next game. You've got to always be ready for something new. Like I said, never give up, you've got to have heart because if you give up then you're pretty much done.

Q: What are your individual goals for this season?

A: I want to get my players more involved. I want make sure they learn from me, so I can leave a new tradition back when I leave. I want to them to be like, 'Dill stepped up so, she left us, so I want to take her spot.' I want them to come after me.
